Well, I said it last week - I've got some huge news to share! Yesterday's Wordless Wednesday was a HUGE hint, so I'm sure you've guessed by now. Yup, it's true, the DH and I are moving!!! YIPPIE!!!!
We've been talking about moving for well over a year now, we just hadn't found the right house until now. I can't even remember how many houses we looked at before we found this one, but this one is perfect! As soon as we walked in one Saturday we knew it was just right. Like Goldilocks and the three bears, we looked at houses that were too small and some that were too big, some that needed too much work, and some that didn't need any. Finally we found a house that is the perfect size so that we can expand our family sometime down the road, and one that needs a little bit of work done to it but nothing that needs to be done right away.
Once our offer on the new house was accepted, the DH and I wasted no time putting the townhouse on the market. From the time our sellers agent walked into the house so we could sign the papers, we were on the market in less than a week. From the time the house was on the market, we had the townhouse under contract in 7 days! 7 DAYS!!!!! So it's finally official. At the end of April we'll have to say goodbye to our first house and find a place to live for a month until we move into the new house in the beginning of June. Luckily we have tons of family and friends in the area so I'm sure we'll be able to find a place (or two) to stay during May.
While this is a very exciting time for the both of us, we've got tons of packing to do. I'm also excited because a new, larger house means I'll get to finally start some furniture refinishing projects I've been dreaming of. Oh - and I'll finally have some blank walls I can paint!!! YIPPIE!!!

I completed another challenge!!!
I've been MIA for a few weeks for a good reason - I promise!! But for now, here's a card I made for Sketch for you to Try from Jen del Muro (yes, I even linked it up to the challenge blog!!). I don't get to participate in these challenges very often, so I get very excited when I have the time to!
This card will eventually go to my wonderful sister-in-law who's birthday is next week! Hope she doesn't check my blog too often!!! Here's a close up of the details - I ended up layering 4 flowers using two different punches and pulling up the petals of a few flowers to give it some dimension.
I used my 'You take the Cake' clear stamp set from MFT (my favorite set!!!) on just a plain white cardstock, but realized pretty quickly that the stacked presents needed something extra. So I re-stamped the present image on two different pieces of paper, and paper pieced the present in the middle, and the ribbon on the top and bottom present. I couldn't find my thin pink or purple ribbon so ended up using a piece of ribbon that was a little thicker than what I would have prefered to top the presents off.
Sorry for the super short post - but I have some exciting news to share in a few days or so!!!
